Paderno World Cuisine 2010

GRFXS Design Group has been producing World Cuisine's Catalogs, sales collateral and website for many years and much more fro business nationwide. This year's website is up at world-cuisine.com. The site displays over 1,500 categories and 4,500 items. This site uses GRFXSstore™ our e-commerce engine running with an application server and a MySQl database. Also featured on the homepage is a flipbook produced in coordination with our friends at VirtuosoCGI. In the flipbook, product skews and categories link back to the live site where browsers can get more information and product availability stats. It's very cool. Thanks to Alex Fuhr of VirtuosoCGI for that fine addition to this years site. In addition the site takes advantage of some Jquery library items and some custom Javascript. Photography and image work by Paderno (Italy), GRFXS Design Group, Roger Fuhr, and Rob Laymen enhance the site's professionalism.

Beach Rental Site Goes Live

We just finished this site for a beach rental in Gearhart Or. Michele and I had the chance to spend a weekend there. What a terrific place! If your looking for a great beach rental you can't do much better than the North Coast Lodge.

The site includes a reservations calendar, photo gallery, visitors blog and an easy to use admin. Check it out.

Magnolia Adult Foster Care

GRFXS LLC recently went live on a dynamic site for Magnolia Adult Foster Care. This site is based on Wordpress and hosted on our web server running Windows 2003 server. Features include a dynamic photo gallery, user administration, content management and Mapquest map. GRFXS provided web design, content editing, template production, PHP programing, database and search engine optimization. The site is optimized for the keyword phrase "Adult Foster Care Portland Oregon". Please take a look and let us know what you think.

We just wrapped up negotiations for developing corporate ID and marketing collateral for AMBRA Imports of Washougal WA.

Website Goes Live

We have completed work on vancouverofficeproducts.com. This site has five static pages and three self posting forms. Our client, Vancouver Office Products, showed off the site at the Vancouver VBJUSA's "Local" trade show. Scott Tiniakos from VOP said " I love the web design and its exactly what we wanted". The site is using Coldfusion to accommodate the self posting forms. The forms use the cfcalendar tag in version 8. We also saved some money with some images from Istock photo.The image of Scott was taken by the Columbian.

CF8 Mail Spooler

I have a chronic problem with the way Coldfusion handles the email spooler. Apparently the spooler jams up when there are simultaneous requests. Once jammed there is no mechanism in place to alert the administrator of the issue. The problem only becomes apparent when automated emails go undelivered such as e-commerce receipts for purchases. I would be appreciative of any input anyone may have in the CF community about this issue.

GRFXS has Moved

GRFXS has moved into the Chumesero-Smith house at 310 w. 11th Street in Vancouver WA. We really like it here. The house itself is on the National Register of Historic Places. The downtown location gives me plenty of opportunities to meet new clients, and other contacts.
